During the Baroque period, it was customary to artistically frame coats of arms with borders – so-called ornamental caskets. This is also the case with the coat of arms that adorns our house, and whose elements and symbols give our heraldic wines their names. The grapes for this Riesling Federspiel grow in the very high-altitude vineyards of Kollmitz, Gaisberg, Ralais, and Pluris and, under optimal weather conditions, reach Federspiel ripeness late in the year.
