Nilgiri Green comes from the high-altitude gardens of the Nilgiri Mountains in southern India a region better known for black tea, but home to a small number of producers crafting extraordinary, underrecognized green teas. Made in the style of China’s revered mao feng, this tangy, herbaceous tea offers vivid notes of persimmon, artichoke, and pomegranate. Our ferment softens its vegetal edge and draws out a refined, layered profile of fennel, iris, hearts of palm, and Riesling grape.
