For 15 generations winemaking expertise has been patiently passed down through the Amoreau family. Natural since 1610. Black current on the nose, velvety tannins and a loooong finish. Indigenous yeasts. The estate is situated on the same plateau as Saint Emilion and Pomerol and sits on the second highest point in the Gironde. The vineyards contain a number of red varieties (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Carmenere) and the exclusive white variety Semillon. Soils are principlly a mix of clay, silex and limestone with very high acidity. The estate is certified organic and no synthetic treatments have ever been used in the 50 year-old-vines. The “elevage” of the Le Puy wines is done according to the lunar rhythm.
