Gamay from Mâcon, Burgundy, France; light plus bodied, earthy, and dry with notes of cranberry, raspberry, and red plum, layers of tobacco, forest floor, bark, and baking spice, with vegetal undertones, medium acidity, soft tannins, and a dry finish. Organic Massale selection of 30 varieties of Gamay from 70-90 year old vines. Semi-carbonic fermentation takes place in open top wooden vats, then the wine is aged for 18 months in conical trunk wooden vats. The wine is bottled by gravity without filtration in June 2024.
